Rohit Sharma creates new world record in ODI

Rohit sharma has created a world record by scoring 264 runs. He has now became highest scoring batsman in one day international cricket. His 264 was scored in 173 balls with 9- 6’s and 33- 4’s. His strike rate was over 152. This was a magnificent work by team India making total of 404 runs against Sri Lanka. Also Rohit Sharma is first batsman in ODI to create 2 double centuries previously created a score of 209.

Previously this world record was held by:

Virender Sehwag with 219 runs.
Rohit Sharma with 209 runs.
Sachin Tendulkar with 200 runs.

Earthquake hits area near Tonga, Magnitude of 6.9 No tsunami alert

An earthquake of magnitude 6.9 has struck in the South Pacific, which is about 300 kms west northwest of Tonga and 141 kms north east of Ndoi Island in Fiji. According to the US Geological Survey, the earthquake was 417 kms deep. There is no reports of injury or building damage as of then.
According to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre, there was no immediate tsunami alert after the earthquake.

Tonga area rests on the infamous Pacific Ring of Fire, a region of frequent seismic activity due to collisions between continental tectonic plates.

Maharashtra Cabinet Ministers Announced, See Portfolio Department

Today 10 minister were allotted portfolios of ministries. Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis kept home ministry, urban development, housing and health departments with himself. Also those portfolios not allotted will be with the chief minister.
Former BJP state president Sudhir Munghantiwar is allotted finance and planning, and forest departments.

Senior most BJP leader Eknath Khadse will take charge of revenue, agriculture, minorities development and wakf, dairy development and fisheries, animal husbandry and state excise.

Vinod Tawde will take responsibility of medical education, school education and sports, higher and technical education, cultural affairs and Marathi Language.

Pankaja Munde is allotted rural development and water conservation ministry along with women and child development.

An MLA from Ghatkopar East seat in Mumbai, Prakash Mehta has been given industries and mining, and parliamentary affairs ministry.

Vishnu Savara, the MLA from Vikramgadh seat in Palghar district, is given charge of tribal development ministry, social justice and special assistance ministry.

Chandrakant Patil, will be public works (including public undertakings) department PWD minister has been given co-operation ministry, marketing and textiles ministry.

Vidya Thakur is Minister of state and has been allotted rural development & water conservation and women & child development departments.

Dilip Kamble is Minister of state and has been allotted social justice, tribal development and special assistance departments.

Low pressure was created in Arabian Sea and now it has been convert in to big cyclone. It would move initially north and northwest side in the next 48 hours as the sources said. Then it may move north-east towards north Gujarat and adjoining Pakistan coast during subsequent 72 hours. It may intensify further into a severe cyclonic storm during next 24 hours. But, situation will be more clear in next 24 hours. Recently Hudhud has hit various coastal area of Orissa and most of the Andhra pradesh. Now another cyclone Nilofar is likely to hit Gujarat’s coastal area, it may hit the north Gujarat area Kutch district. There are several factors, which will determine the exact track/path of Nilofar.

Cyclonic storm Nilofar’s lay center at 11:30 hours IST on 26 th October 2014, near latitude 14.10 North and longitude 62.00 East, about 1270 km west-southwest of Mumbai and 910 km east-southeast of Salalah (Oman). The Depression over West Central Arabian Sea has organized further into a Deep Depression strength. This is yet to be confirmed by IMD. News says Nilofer cyclone direction in Gujarat, India.
